The Student Health Advisory Community (SHAC), a part of the Office of Health and Wellness, has a widely known presence on campus. If you’ve ever used a bathroom anywhere on campus, then you’ve noticed the signs on the back of the stall doors with helpful information about anything from how to reduce stress, to the difference between a common cold and the flu—those signs are all thanks to the SHAC members.
Last night, from 7-9pm, in the Steinman College Center Atrium, SHAC hosted its first ever trivia night. Participating teams needed to have at least 8 members in order for a chance to win the prize of a $150 gift card to Iron Hill! The team I was on consisted of me and 7 other girls from SISTERS, a club I’m a part of on campus.
The SISTERS put up a tough battle, we often found ourselves faced with the “OMG” category of questions, worth 50 points if answered correctly, but always an extremely challenging question. In the end, we lost, coming in second place. Although I know we all would have loved to have won, the trivia night was still so much fun. It was a nice bonding experience for our team and I once again learned more helpful health information from SHAC.
